Let's all give a big BSRTC hello to:
Kathleen P. (me/ GMK/ Grand-Master Koala K.)- President
Cynthia W. (GMC/ Grand-Master Cyn-Ten-Tia the Cheetah)- President
Suzi L. (Salamander)- Secretary/ Right-Hand
Kevin A. (Mr. Kitty)- Right-Hand
Michelle Y. (Moose)- Treasurer
Margaret P. (Monkey)- Web-designer
Michelle L. (Mouse)- Web-designer
Presidents- Is it necessary to explain what presidents do? GMC and I, GMK, are the founders of the Blue Star Renaissance Tutoring Club. We handle everything-from choosing Board Members to Meeting Dates to Parties and School-Integration.
Right-Hands- Although it is true that the Board Members share in, besides maintaining individual responsibilities, the responsibility of knowing certain rules about the club, and how it works, the Right-Hands will be further as such. They will know the rules in more depth than other Board Members may, they will be able to describe the club better, they will be direct "apprentices" to the Grand-Masters in that they will know the club inside and out. Furthermore, at meetings when neither Grand-Master is present, the Board Members will take control, but the Right-Hands will lead the Board Members by telling them what it is that the Grand-Masters wished to do that day.
Treasurer- The treasurer for this club will (apparently) be in charge of handling all club finances, including clubly dues. In order to conduct events planned for BSRTC, money is a necessary reality. Thus, the clubly dues will amount to three dollars ($3) per student BUT these dues will only be collected when necessary.
Secretary- The BSRTC secretary position, is one that doesn’t demand too much. It requires that the secretary write down what is discussed at every meeting and type up documents that must be typed so as to be copied. The secretary will also have to send the necessary information the web-designers so that it may be posted on the BSRTC website.
Web-Designers- The web-designers are to maintain the BSRTC website. They are to inscribe whatever documents given to them by the secretary of Gms that's intended to be on the site. They will also be in charge of keeping the website neat, orderly and easy to use. Web designers are important as they will help to uphold the BSRTC image in that the web site won't have anything inappropriate. Be forewarned, the GMs will be checking it regularly and there will be consequences and repercussions, should something go wrong.
*All Board Members from last year who did or did not make it to this list are to be considered Honorary, and are still invited to Board Member functions. (Please don't send me hate mail)
I'm also very proud to annouce that the BSRTC Mission Statement has been completed.
Mission Statement:
The Blue Star Renaissance Tutoring Club (BSRTC) is a peer-tutoring club founded for and dedicated to inspiring and prompting improvement and success in all academic subjects and the arts, through a network of devoted tutors who will abdicate their free time in an effort to aid their peers in the specified subjects.
FIRST MEETING:
The first BSRTC meeting is to be held, tentatively, on November 18th. Both the classes of 2009 and 2010 will be present (meaning both Freshmen and 8th graders).
Thank you, and welcome back to the second annual year of the Blue Star Renaissance Tutoring Club!
